My role as Operations Director at Platform 365 involves day to day management of the management team as well as direct interaction with all other internal personnel. Additionally, the role covers management of all operational functions including, Finance, Marketing and Human resources.

My introduction into the IT industry commenced in the late 80’s as a junior support analyst. Progressing through support roles until moving into management as a user support manager within a corporate environment, heading ServiceDesk, Desktop and Server support functions. A big change of direction ensued some twenty years ago when I formed Platform 365 and built it into the successful business it is today.

The biggest achievements throughout my career have always been my ability to build great teams. To spot the potential in people and to mentor them into becoming the best version of themselves. In my experience, if you have the right people working with you, everything else takes care of itself.

Co-founder, Technical Director, and Information Security Manager at Platform 365. I ensure our solutions are high-quality, fit for purpose, and support both clients and internal teams. My role includes project oversight, client account management, strategy, and information security, maintaining our ISO 27001 certification. I also lead key projects when needed.

I started in IT as a junior support analyst, working with Wang and IBM mini-systems before moving into enterprise networks during the rise of Novell NetWare and Microsoft Server. I led teams in deploying new technologies, shaping strategy, and gaining expertise in networking, security, storage, and cloud services. Alongside Mark Willis, I co-founded Platform 365, overseeing our technical services.

I stay up to date with emerging technologies, working closely with partners and clients. I simplify complex technical concepts for informed decision-making. My proudest achievement isn’t personal—it’s how our team excelled during the COVID lockdowns, ensuring seamless service for our clients.

With 25 years in IT support, I’ve worked in both in-house and MSP environments. Starting as a Junior 2nd Line Support Analyst, I progressed into leadership, infrastructure, and project management. Since joining Platform 365 in 2009, I’ve played a key role in the company’s growth.

I pride myself on strong communication and problem-solving skills, delivering client-focused solutions. I’ve led cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and software deployments. At Platform 365, I’ve streamlined processes, enhanced revenue streams, and helped roll out the HaloPSA system, improving efficiency and partner relationships.

With over 17 years of experience in the IT industry, I’ve transitioned from technical roles, starting with 1st and 2nd line support, to my previous position as Senior Infrastructure Analyst. Now, I’m leveraging my deep understanding of IT infrastructure and services in my new role as Business Development Manager, where my passion for technology and delivering client-focused solutions continues to be a driving force.

In addition to my strong technical background, I have honed skills in relationship building, strategic thinking, and project management. I’m particularly proud of the successful infrastructure migrations I’ve led in the past, which have strengthened my expertise and prepared me for this new phase in business development.

My role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of the service desk team, ensuring incidents and requests are handled promptly and effectively. I’m the main link between clients and our technical team, ensuring clear communication, fast issue resolution, and high service standards, continuously improving processes, and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.

With over 13 years of experience in the IT industry, I have steadily progressed in my career. I began as a Junior Engineer, then moved into a Senior Help Desk Analyst role, where I developed strong technical skills and a problem-solving mindset. Now, as Service Desk Manager at Platform 365, I lead a dedicated team focused on providing excellent IT support and enhancing our services.

My key achievements include implementing new service desk procedures that have reduced resolution times and successfully introducing a new ticketing system. Leveraging my ITIL qualification, I have improved processes, boosted efficiency, and ensured high levels of customer satisfaction.

I began my IT career by earning a BTEC and a BSc in Computer Studies. With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, my technical expertise, combined with strong communication skills, has allowed me to build solid relationships with clients.

Throughout my career, I’ve honed excellent communication and teamwork skills, which are essential in IT. I have extensive experience in leading projects and teams, and I’m passionate about inspiring and guiding others toward success.
